For the record, ALL big map mods require (or will be requiring) the DLC. In that regard, you need to get the DLC at some point if you want to keep on playing with map mods...

There must be valid reasons behind your (in general) decision for not buying the DLC(s) and I respect that. But you guys need to understand that for Promods to keep growing, improving, reaching the next level, they need newer assets either from SCS or their own team or third-party developers. Using DLC assets for their 'free' map mod and distributing it will be no less than cracking the game and distributing it for free.

You guys could try to buy the DLCs during summer/winter sales on steam if buying is still an option for y'all. They'd be much cheaper by then.

Atleast get some $ in Summer and you have North DLC ,after that - and Going East! be required in 2.0 So try get something cheap

It really isn't that expensive, believe me. If you can't buy the DLC, you also can't get on the internet at all Just save a little bit of money every month, and you will be able to buy the DLC's.

If you like - 14 years old - ask parents to give you 5$ dollars per week ,so in 1 month - 20$ (DLC Scandinavia) and some left what can be used later to buy other DLC - Going East! (3$+ other dollars)

Additionally, to get around the no-credit-card thing, A whole bunch of stores (Gamestop, Walmart, Target, Walgreens, 7-Eleven, not a definitive list. Virtually anywhere that's not Kroger since they don't.) sell Steam Wallet Gift Cards. They work just like the iTunes Gift Cards, except they're black and for Steam.
