Now, I like those palm trees from Extreme Trucker 2 posted earlier on. If SCS allows the use of these, wouldn't it be possible to use them temporarly until ATS is released?

That would just fill up one "gap". There is still a lot of other assets I mentioned that can't be replaced just like that...

There are new cities in the Finland, Romania, The Baltics, Sweden, Iceland, Austria, Rebuilded southern/northern-east parts of Germany, and even more!... Also.... Irun is a city what can show up in Spain....
