UK has a disgusting amount of speed cameras.. from fixed cameras to mobile ones in vans that sit on top of motorway bridges. I do a lot of driving and I barely see police cars and when I do most police won't care if you're doing 5 or 10 over the limit especially on the motorway but sadly as you know speed cameras show no compassion and are there for one thing, to generate money.

We have yellow box ones in England...Though not all of them actually work - but you don't know which ones so you all ways have to be safe and drive to the limits ;)

Until now, I think I have never seen any ticket-making speed cams here... The only speed cam I've ever seen is on a mountain highway where the speed limit is 80 km/h and it only tells you to reduce speed. Mobile speed cams? I even doubt we can afford one of those. Even police cars patrolling the highway don't even care at what speed you're going.

This is how I describe the highway near my place's condition:
Emergency lane
Lane 1: Trucks
Lane 2: Smaller trucks & buses
Lane 3: Cars, speed < 100 km/h
Lane 4: Cars, 90% speed 110 km/h and up
...and the speed limit was 100 km/h...

63 speed cameras in my country, however only 45 contain actual cameras (they're moved from time to time). Mainly on the T1, T2 and T4, and also on some roads around Tallinn.
They won't ticket you until you're going 6km/h over the speed limit though.

Yeah, there aren't enough of them.... I vote for a 100% speedcamera road system.

Indeed, if I were the head of NL. I would incorporate that.
For the simple reason I notice more and more maniacs on the road here in NL.
It's too bad for the people who only drive a little bit to fast, but ey, that's their problem.

More cameras -> less actual cops on the road -> more "maniacs" .

Why? Simply because cameras are stationary, whilst cops and undercover cops aren't. Basically, you can pin-point exact locations where the law doesn't apply, and you're done.

Section control won't solve anything, you can always slow down or even stop at a rest place to lower your average speed. That, and when everybody breaks the law, nobody does, and when you have one rogue driver that's driving under the speed limit, in dense traffic, he'll hinder the traffic flow, or even cause an accident. US of A has a law, that you have to adjust your speed depending on the traffic flow, even if you would have to drive above the limit.
Peterson logistics - We think, you pay, it's that simple.
