I can also run ETS2 on ultra. I have 16gb DDR4 RAM, 128gb SSD, Intel Core i7 2.6ghz with Turbo Boost to 3.5ghz, and GTX950M 4gb VRAM.

I'm not sure why an SSD would be recommended. I can run it just fine on my 1 TB WD Velociraptor hard drives. given they are only somewhat faster than your traditional drive. SSD are quick though they do have a problem of short life spans due to their method of data storage. The data/file retrieval is good enough on most drives though it should not be an issue for this game. I know lots of people use them to boot their system, it sounds like overkill for this kind of thing.
best things I can recommend are going with a sufficiently fast CPU and GPU combination. One that doesn't bottleneck, into oblivion. A fairly new i7 processor will do the trick or any recent model of AMD quad-core will probably be sufficient, though if you did want just a bit more power you could look into the hex-core family from Intel or the eight-core models by AMD. This alone can help your machine become high-end by itself, though with a nice GPU to boot you will be rocking any recent game that isn't really heavy in graphics. Nvidia GTX 960 and up are very good parts to speed things up, AMD has some equivalent models though I'm not up to speed on their GPUs so I cannot give a recommendation of which models are best.
basically your going to need a hunk of memory to run this game properly, and if you want more scaling then you may as-well double it. I think about 8GB is sufficient to run the game, 16GB is optimal, I have 24GB on quad channel and it seems this game will gobble it all up in certain areas. I'm looking at you Barcelona!

SCS recommended configuration
OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 64-bit
Processor: Quad Core CPU 3.0 GHz
Memory: 6 GB RAM
Graphics: GeForce GTX 760-class (2 GB)
Hard Drive: 3 GB available space
No need to buy i7 an i5 with high clockspeed is preferable and cheaper as you can read on any gaming site
SSD is a nice option (samsung 850 EVO) I have used them for the last two/three years with any issues, current build is with 2 SSDs one for system and one for user data
For data storage (SVN, source filkes etc) I have a 2 Tb hybrid disk
If you dont like SSDs get some extra memory and add a RAM drive and micro stuttering due to saves is a thing of the past
