I can't answer this question correctly because my answer isn't a state ;-)
It's the only US region that doesn't have political representation, only a delegate that can ask a few question or place a remark, but has no voting power..

This region contains a lot of history..

You are close, but my region lies a north of Puerto Rico.. It is (and should be) political neutral (in theory) and that why Congress vote down any attempts to recognize the region as a state.

Its DC, district of Columbus, not a state per say, but the adminastrative center of the country.

Spent more time in Nevada that anywhere else but Colorado tops the list so far. I've yet to visit Hawaii though :D
