An idea of Switzerland map

Well, about Switzerland in ETS2, I think SCS can do more onto this beautiful neutral country, as we have only see those three north cities( Promods map have four.) but never see what the cities in the southern Switzerland looks like in ETS2.

Image
In ETS2, if you trucking your truck to the southen Switzerland, it means you're going to Itlaty. It looks so empty in southen Switzerland.

Image
But if you search the map, you will find so much in this land.
So, based on Google Map, I drew an ideal Switzerland map for ETS2.

Image
But as you can see, this map can't use on ETS2, or it might be too big.

This is what my ideal map suggestion about Switzerland.
For the road around Gotthard-Strassetunnel, I will talk about it more detailed, as that place quite mess.πŸ˜…
I will also tale about more southern of Switzerland, as it can't show the whole country.

This may not be possible due to scale issues.

Switzerland still has room for a few of these ideas. That Gotthard-Strassetunnel area looks crowded though!

The Gotthard Road Tunnel route itself looks OK.
The mountain roads over it, no clue. Maybe not so good for trucks. + graphics/surroundings need space, does it have enough for those?
If doing the tunnel entrance access roads, then maybe it could be done so that some of the mountainroads could be added later?
There are some possible Luzern delivery spot options, if someone can make it fit.
1 option. There are others.

The suggestion map, it is 1 of the best road layouts I have seen.

*Attached detail: Gotthard-Strassentunnel
There are more about the Gotthard-Strassentunnel and the road nearby.

The mountain road on the tunnel can be optional if it is not possible.
I think if it is more realistic, there have many models ne to remake.
Maybe it's a big progress......πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

Woulf me very interesting if you had it in game (I already drove the Gotthardpass in real life), but it would be completely out of scale.

Keep in mind that many other specific locations in ProMods are also out of the standard 1:19 scale. ;)

This seems largely doable if you ask me, but I'm no mapper so don't use me as an excuse. Adding Lausanne definitely seems possible, and the Gottharttunnel definitely needs a refresh too.

I know it’s an old topic, but there could indeed be more in Switzerland, so this is really something the PM team should look at, I would personally like Chur, Brig, Sion and Lugano. and perhaps Realp and Oberwald for the train that runs between the two villages just like the chanel tunnel just without the sea!

Hi just seen this topic..

It is from last year, but are the ideas still there or plans for it?
If asking me, the whole alpine region needs a refresh, the Mountains doesn't look nice and maybe it could be possible with dx 11 and maybe new models that they would be viewable for longer distances exept 4 km, so that they would not longer pop out or slight in in front of you.. I hate it..

And I find it a real good idea to give the Gotthart tunnel a alternative pass route over the mountain as well as for other tunnels too. It could give us a possibility of a detour. Maybe the tunnels can get closed as an random road event cause of an accident or constructions or what else, so you have to take the difficult trip over the mountain.. Or there are ADR freight with hazardous materials that are not allowed to take the tunnel. Therefore a alternative route would be also good.

And at least it would be anyway good to have some more cities in Switzerland..
