This thing really looks like a Peterbilt 587.

Now we got Freightliner, Kenworth and Peterbilt. Any other bets?
I agree with Moh1336, look at the door, it says T680 there, so it is highly probably one. ;)

I think it would be silly for US manufacturers to refuse a licence to SCS, given the solid popularity of the European version of the game, provided they have no conflicting game licencing issues like Mercedes used to have.
Hard to see, e.g., Volvo not being on board for ATS, which means other brands would almost have to follow suit

And so it is a Kenworth T680.

We have already seen Volvo in ATS ;)

And what were the conflicting issues Mercedes had? Just curious.

Exactly... did I phrase that incorrectly?

Mercedes is the only major European truck brand not currently represented in the game, because they had an exclusive licencing deal for PC games with THQ. A situation which was only resolved fairly recently (don't remember when exactly).

Probably when THQ declared bankruptcy and dissolved. ;)

Probably just a misunderstanding ;). I don't like to be pedantic.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up.

Yes, but that is not an official SCS licensed model. There is a huge difference.

Hmm I don't know, before when SCS never had the license they called the truck Valiant and it didn't have the square crest... This truck has the crest and appears to say "Volvo".

Before the release they always used the real name and logo hoping for getting a license, they always changed the brands slightly before the release.
