I not only "play" with FSX, I am a full-time developer of FSX aircraft and gauge systems for both Eaglesoft Development Group and Military Visualizations.

I also develop "Professional" projects for Prepar3D (the Lockheed-Martin version of FSX).

I think I mentioned elsewhere that I used to "play" FSX, from MSFS 97 through to it's current life I don't know if it actually got as far as far MS Fly but I sort of lost interest when it was getting to the stage where the expansions were costing more than the base game . Base game here in Australia is about $30-$60 depending where you go, EB Games are the cheaper option at $25-30.
I also used to have MSTS but that proved too cumbersome and ill behaved at times then switched to Train Simulator 2012 wasn't too impressed then discovered ETS2 and haven't looked back. Still getting my head around some things but I'm going off topic here sorry !

When I still had loads of time I played and tried nearly every game released, and I think it must have been at least 10 years ago that I tried MSFS.
From what I remember I could successfully taxi and take-off in just about any plane up to the Learjet, but have been unsuccessful ever landing one safely!

I got as far as the 747 long haul flights mostly trans Atlantic LHR to JFK and trans pacific from Sydney to London via Bangkok never graduated to A380 .
Had a lot of fun taking the Cessna out for the occasional spin and going bush could never handle the helicopters in FSX they sort of behaved themselves in FS97 where some people created skins for gunships pre 9/11 .

one of my helicopter flights its just free flying.the hardest part is the ship landing carriers are easy as they are big,but warships like destroyers and frigates are a lot harder as the landing space is smaller, plus its pitching and rolling and moving away from you.
I used to have msts but it no longer works, trainsim 2013 is much better, gameplay graphics everything.
thanks for all your replys..
I also like the sound of the engine start up on the EH101.

I used to play MSFS since FS95 and all the way through to X (game Flight a shot too, but that was a major disapointment), got perhaps around 4000-5000 flight hours :)

Planning on purchasing X-Plane 11 in the near future as they implement more realistic(and heavier calculations) flight dynamics like ridge lift and weather controlled lift (raising heat streams).

TS2012 was ok, but I wasn't thrilled when they "upgraded" me to 2013, lost my favorite train because of it and no way back to the 2012 version.
