I didn't refuel just with the standard chasis and realistic consumption on. Mehscaniac wrote:to aviod re-fueling with realistic consumption on, just use rjl's scania T, with exc longline cab and 6x4 chasis (fuel capacity is now about 2000 liters, maybe more, I have never check'd)

My first three visits to Iceland would qualify in that. For some reason I could never get past the bit of road down on the s/w corner where there is a rock wall on the right and water on the left. Every trip I did I drove too fast and ended up on the wrong side of the barrier after bouncing off the rock wall and the worst part was that with damage on if the truck was not driveable I'd have to get towed all the way back to near the ferry town because that was the closest garage.jontsuba wrote: I'd love to see that: the slowest lap to Iceland

Just finished the Icelandic Grand Prix following the R1 except where it changes to the R92 and R96 on the East coast.
Used my Mercedes Benz 1519. 18sp. box with full auto (keyboard n mouse only controls), 380hp engine.
On the start line. Bacon sarnie & super strong coffee consumed, ready for the off.
Fatigue and Traffic set to off.
Max speed 142kmh, downhill with a trailing wind. Did all right on the ice road but came a major cropper or two just before Vik where my damage went from 7% to 26%. Had a few engine malfunctions after that!
So. Lap time of 16:27. With the "official" distance of 1268km, that's an average speed of just over 77kmh.
Not bad for anything between a 20 to 55 year old truck!!
Surprisingly not the fastest (???), but fun anyway.
