Shouldn't this question become a poll?

This could become a poll, for sure.

But for me the interest is in the advantages and disadvantages of the various axle setups.

Why choose a tag-lift, or a mid-lift, or a 6x4, and so on.

The only reason I pick a midlift over a taglift is because it looks better and the truck won't do a wheelie if I forget to lower the axle .

6x4 partly because of the increased load capacity and more hp to the road, and partly because 95% of semi trailers in Australia are 6x4 so that's what I'm used to seeing.

I tried a 4x2 the other night for fun, and nearly rolled the rig!

Maybe 90km/h in a fairly tight bend wasn't such a good idea ;)

The Volvo has a range 4000 km plus with the 4x2, though.

4x2 is best for drifting though. 6x4 is more stable.

Well, not exactly. But f you've got enough power you can get the back end to misbehave.

And yes you can in real life drift a truck. Have you ever watched Top Gear UK?

Hahahaha! Looks cool and expensive.

Clarkson and co? I have not seen all the series. I can't say I remember any with truck drifting that I saw. Must have missed it.
