I see a lot of different nicknames on the forum, and for some I'm wondering.

Why did you choose your nickname?

So, tell us about your nickname, and why you choose it!

I'll start.

Volleybal4life
Play volleyball since the age of 5 (I am 25 years old) So that's quite obvious
So, why Volleybal4life, and not Volleyball4life? Well, that due to the symmetrical look of my nickname, l4l or ll4l, only one 'L' on each side looks far better!

It's a mash between "MicroSoft" and "Mandelbrot" (the Mandelbrot-fractal is also my avatar).
The name emerged when we installed some old (pirated) software we got from someone else back in the day when PC still ran on Windows 98. For most of these semi-professional applications, you need to fill in a company name during the installation. Now, my brother was quite into fractals, especially the Mandelbrot-set. Thus, the name MandelSoft was born...

However, the use of the name on the internet only emerged three or four years ago. My first internet nickname was the rather unpronounceable mrtnrln (Maarten's Real Name). But since I got quite some notability in the SimCity 4 community and I was getting tired of people getting my name wrong, I decided to switch to MandelSoft instead.

Mine is easy - I had to choose my nickname and I chosen Deus from DeusX game and Horizon from Forza Horizon - a racing game. Now I'm DeusHorizon and I like this nickname a lot.

I created my nickname in 2011, when i started to make videos about Sims. My name is finnish and Fani means Fan. Actually simple nickname. And stupid.

Well my nickname starts from around 2006 - 2007. As bizarre as this may sound "tkk7406" rhymed with a song I heard when I was young. But this name wasn't used from then. It was used from around 2010 when I made my email address, and then followed it on to the rest of my accounts.

NHY7423

That said I also have a few accounts under the nickname "NHY7423". That's a bt more straight forward. As I'm a number plate fan, I studied the Greek number plates and concluded that NHY-7423 would be a number plate for a car bought in June 2009 (the time I came to Greece). Although now that I'm thinking of it, I should have a nickname "AHY 07M" since I was born in Sydney.

My simple name also emerged already years ago. When I registered in a community for the 1st time I was wondering how I should call myself, and my dad said, just be the user. So from that day on I've always been the user of the product the community I'm registering in is about.

MIRFI. It's my last name with the letters placed in other order.. This was my highschool nickname too.

Everyone here has a cool story behind their nickname, and then there's me... I had no idea what to call myself so I just typed every second letter on the second keyboard line- asdfghjkl. At least it's not long so my name isn't totally unrecognisable
Elsewhere I am computergamesaregreat but I'm generally pretty inactive. I think this was the first forum I posted anything in!
