I would like that TSM and the ProMods Scandinavian zone were compatible (I know that it is imposible), because, imagine go from Cairo to Helsinki. It would be great!

I KNOW THAT IT IS IMPOSIBLE!!!!!!!!

I prefer the first ones!
Or Scania and Renault - As always, I prefer the former!

Well i have played TSM 5.0.I was not impressed.Only Greece is better, but not as SCS and Promods! Also in July they said that TSM will covers the whole Balkans. They dont have even ONE post that they are working on it till they posted that in July.
So i prefer Promods and i Adore it! :) Now i m waiting for the Scandinavia update from SCS to see what they have done!!:) :)

Played both TSM and Promods (recently). TSM is bigger map. But in terms of quality, Promods scores high on my mind. I could not detect when I left original Europe and entered Promods. But I could tell so in TSM. In TSM, many roads and sceneries etc looked plastic, copy-pasted and I don't like them, but many places were great. Still to play promods fully.

Yet, I say, both are awesome and they provide different dimensions to driving.

I was just expecting why dont we have waterfalls, and waterlogged roads or at least broken roads as in real life, which get filled by water in rain, etc., heavy winds that carry dust etc!

And Promods, please talk to the MMG map guy, he got some awesome map too!!

Totally agree with you ;)
About the water falls and stuff… as long as they aren't especially made they can not be placed. All the water you see in ETS2 is actually just a road's contiguos terrain texture.

I love ProMods to bits! I also use RusMap with it, which is good and has new models and has trucks from ETS1 parked etc. but, (Don't quote me on this) some of the scenery seems like what is going to be used in Going North DLC? Maybe?... Are they custom too?

Yeah, the new parts of RusMap use Scandanavia models and roads..

Usuallay I'd consider TSM simply as the biggest map mod and neither as the most realistic one (The most realistic map to date (and also my favourite map) is ProMods of course. ;) ) nor as one of the worst maps, but now it's beginning to look more and more like TSM is going to be sort of a competitor to ProMods in the (far) future concerning realism. One example for that is a new video by the TSM team which shows a realistic rebuild of the Elbtunnel in Hamburg (still work in progress). The reason why I was so impressed by that (even more than when I saw the pictures on the ProMods Facebook page of the rebuilt Elbtunnel which is comming in one of the next ProMods versions) is the fact that they have even created models of the real portals of the tunnel (Would be great to see something similar in one of the future versions of ProMods, too.).

I have to admit, this looks way better than their previous version. But still, afaik, TSM has only two fine mappers, namely zeppelin3 and allabouttrucksim. And if these 2 guys have to rebuid all of Europe, this is gonna take a lot of time. AND Promods still looks better :P
