:o Thats just sad...

How much snow are we talking about? We talking like several meters of snow in 24 hours?

Four days of blizzard dumped nearly 4 meters of snow.

On day five a plow finally came down my alley but shoved all of the snow against my garage door. When I finally dug my way from my back door to the garage entrance, and opened the garage door hoping to get the car out, there was a wall of snow higher than the garage roof!

Worst winter i've experienced was (i think) in 2008. About three meters of snow was here, meaning that the downstairs windows were blocked. We ended up having to rent a snow plow to clear our front yard. That created a snow hill of around five meters
Also, since for a week or two the temperature was around -25 degrees C, i ended up not having to go to school for quite some time. We have a thing called külmapühad, literally meaning cold holidays. If the temperature passes a certain point, you wont have to go to school. (for 1st graders it is -25, for gümnasium it is -35.)

Wow, here in the UK they usually close schools if there's 1cm of snow, and it's -1C :P

Really? That reminds me of the time when i was listening to EuroTruck Radio and a British DJ was complaining how bloody cold it is; 7 degrees Celsius.
The next morning Valga was at -19C....

Well, also here in Italy it'not so cold in winter.
I'm talking about the North, where I live.
It is an anomaly if the temperature reaches 15C, but also if it falls down -10C (especially for my zone).
Anyway, just be higher than 500-600 meters over the sea and you'll find lot more snow and colder temperatures, on the Alps as well near Apennini.

But we're talking too further, here there are 25C! :D
That's weird

Hi people! Welcome to our central Kazakhstan - Karaganda, we have the summer comes to + (45-47), and in winter to the - (45-47) plus the wind, and so can survive a month. :)
But we are not a hindrance! ;)
