Enough to hold a conversation if you finish the skills tree and keep practising. However in my opinion, it really can't teach you to speak the language fluently, but I think that's quite obvious because it's just a website...
But it definitely is enough to learn the basics of the language, a knowledge which you can always expand later.

Myself, I really like Duolingo, I tried every language available but of course it is not possible to learn all languages at once. I'm mainly learning Spanish, German and a bit of Swedish, and I've reached level 8 or 9 in Dutch and French (I learn French at school so I don't practise on Duolingo much).

Unfortunately Duolingo doesn't support Finnish yet. I'm much more impatient waiting for this one than you're when waiting for a new ProMods version

From my own experience, I have completed the Swedish course and I still had a hard time to understand Swedish when people talked fast...
However, I can make much more sense out of Swedish texts now, so that's a plus. I just need more exposure to spoken Swedish, and it doesn't help that most Swedes tend to switch to English immediately after they notice you have trouble with speaking Swedish.

Well, Internet (free) courses can give you the basics of the language, but to speak it fluently you have to listen a lot. A good method is watching video or films in original language, so people speak fast, like in real life.

It's good to keep practising, otherwise you loose your achievements / progress

Didn't know about this website, but looks really promising.
I currently speak Romanian, English and Russian. I'll be looking into it, maybe German or Italian.

If Polish doesn't have a hidden Ku*wa in it, i'll be disappointed

Does Duolingo even have Easter Eggs? I mean, they'd perhaps break the spirit of learning, but it'd be good to have a laugh or two.
