Wait, I thought forums are made for discussing, no? It's not off-topic, we're talking about traffic rules in Latvia.

Let me send you the promised proof about international traffic cars not allowed in Living Zones (from my country's traffic rules):

I was just asking if this rule applies to other countries such as Latvia. Apparently not.
pauliaxz wrote:No residential areas? So how panel blocks areas are called? I mean here streets that reach every panel block apartmemt and where cars can park are considered residential area. Of course, some areas with individual housing have this rule too.
Nope. We just have these rules in our traffic laws, that's it. As far as I know, there's no MARKED living zone in our country at all.

You are wrong. It is not about international traffic.

Transit traffic here means that you can't cross this area from other side to another.
For example, you can't go through living area to avoid the traffic jam.

That's right, but there's a separate rule for that. Transit traffic is something different from what you're saying.

It does annoy me that this forum used to be liberated, and now I can't go without being warned, or my reply being deleted by a moderator without any prior notice. It's not rude either, just... on-topic discussion. Even if it is slightly off-topic, what extreme rules does it break?

Here, the LOWEST speed limit, in narrow residential roads is 15 MPH (24 km/h)

But Germany makes up for that on some autobahns :P

It's ironic. I have got caught by more speed cameras in Germany than in any other country. Funny considering I am allowed to drive any speed I want on most of the autobahn.

Do German speed cameras even read foreign registration plates?

Pedestrians have priority on the roads.
A vehicle can only enter the area to stop or to park.
