With its release coming very soon, I've pre-ordered American Truck Simulator. Hypetrain!
Got me wondering, will the ProMods team mod anything in ATS? Or is it not planned?
Will the PM team work on ATS?
well that sounds like good news. I hope there is a team of new members so the work on Europe goes at the same rate. I think Los Angeles will need a full rebuild and San Fran a minor rebuild. Las Vegas actually looks not too bad. I've already started playing with the editor in ETS2. When ATS is out i'll be going full effort with that. Time permitting of course.
We welcome new team members from the US and Canada who are willing to work on ATS, the majority of the team will remain focussed on Europe but we certainly have intentions to improve the vanilla map in ATS.

For sure, there will always be some small towns/large cities that need improvement. As a resident of Las Vegas, I'd be happy to give my suggestions for the city in-game. Currently, I'm enrolling at a university in central Arizona (town of Prescott, if you're wondering), so it will be hard for me to send images of specific areas immediately. Google Maps should be a reliable source for the time being, if not for a while. Interstate 15 is, no doubt, the busiest "motorway" around there, but other freeways such as the Bruce Woodbury Beltway (215) and I-515/US-93/US-95 tend to get really busy as well during rush hour.
Right now I have two suggestions based on SCS screenshots: Correct traffic signal gantries (for Nevada in particular), complex intersections (left turn signals).
I can already tell that I will have to adjust the traffic signal timings for ATS as they have the stupid 2-second yellow light.

Cool, thanks Scul.ScuL wrote:We welcome new team members from the US and Canada who are willing to work on ATS, the majority of the team will remain focussed on Europe but we certainly have intentions to improve the vanilla map in ATS.
I would like to rebuild the interstate in Primm and rebuild the road from San Francisco to Santa Cruz, including building the 101 south to at least Gilroy if not San Louis Obispo or even Los Angeles if there is room
Developer for England, Channel Islands and British Columbia.
If there is space, why not include the Pacific Coast Highway (CA-1)? That makes some significant stretches along the coast. I'm also skeptical if each state is going to be released separately... because I certainly feel that (especially with the scale) some states, in the East in particular, are far too small to be in a DLC that's anything more than 99 cents, especially if we're only going to get one city in the state (like Rhode Island could only fit Providence, Connecticut could probably only fit Hartford, Bridgeport and maybe New Haven, Massachusetts would likely only include Boston and maybe Springfield).
