Pro mods 1.61 crash

I just clicked to download 1.61 from you at ZippyShare - NOT GOOD. This is a complaint...
You do know that CHILDREN play ETS2 don't you? Zippyshare is using unblockable PORN pop-ups, I've just been shown auto play sound and video - without me realising what was happening or where it popped up to on my PC (in a totally separate second window), whilst I had a house full of guests and my kids in the room. .

I get the problem. But the "porn" is not unblockable. I use windows parental control and Bitdefender parental control for my stepdaughter. And if she goes on that site the popup will show. But in place of the ad it is the logo of bitdefender saying it is blocked by parental control.

Be glad Pro Mods giving you the option to download it for free.
Also I payd for the fast download link. It is 0.76€ or 1$ and you will never see any add. And you have the mod much faster.

**** I was not offered (or shown) the PAID FOR download as I got to the Promods download site page. So I was not aware of it.

So, your comment about that making you laugh is a bit rude. RE - If I'm asking why you don't have a paid download link, didn't you think, that I must have missed it, or not been shown it? - Otherwise I would have not posted about it!

But, since you mentioned it. I have since gone and used the paid for link.. (so your post is at fault because you are not making your navigation links properly, you should have linked to your actual download page where I would have seen the paid for link).. and despite your rude comment, I bought the download through that link anyway, (only to find it does not work, (and yes I was prepared for that in your post), and also discovered that Promod v1.62 (TBA), will be the fix for that), So Promods owe me a download as I see it from my point of view!

Luckily I had not actually logged out yet, and I was able to backtrack through my original promods pages from before I logged in, just to check how I could have possibly missed your paid-for link.. It wasn't there!


1, At the time I came to promods.net to search for 1.61 mod, I was not signed in yet.. http://promods.net/

Remember that the menu options MEMBERS and DOWNLOAD was not yet visible as I was not signed in yet.

5, Then I went to BOARD INDEX

and saw the Download Post ( You can download the mod here! ) said the message.. Great ! I clicked it..
Then I was asked to sign in.. It took me a few minutes because I have not been signed in here in a while.
Found my details and signed in.. goto page - 6.


6, http://promods.net/viewforum.php?f=15 on this page I was concentrating on following the post link I had just clicked before I was asked to sign in, and did not really see the navigation menu had added MEMBERS and DOWNLOAD pages..

There is no ' PAID FOR' Download link, in your post. and after I had finished downloading from those links, I must have clicked the wrong download somewhere. There are FOUR download links on each of those linked download pages, obviously my own stupid fault for not studying them closely, I will be more careful in the future..

I mentioned that the ads I am now seeing are not blockable - well; I cannot stop them anyway. I don't usually need a specific ad blocker.. I'm sure they can be blocked with the right tools, but that does not negate the fact that they have been installed onto my PC without my permission or knowledge.

That's why those download hosts are bad.. I have antivirus and that's all I usually need, - but its not finding any problems or malware.. So I will take note of those recommendations other members have made..

So; my point is - I was not shown a 'PAID FOR OPTION' when I got to you download page..
err, That was your fault Nico - so don't be rude to your paying visitors.

Calm down, there is no need for such a lengthy argument

I think the cause here is that normally there are NO download links at all in any thread on this forum.
There is temporary exception due to the complications arisen from release 1.61

Any user would normally click the download button on the top of the page which does offer the paid option and the free option.

The reason why links are given in the "1.61 is released" thread is because some users do not own the DLC and accidentally 1.61 requires the DLC which is why we have given the "downgrade" option to 1.60 in order to maintain compatibility.

As soon as we are done with 1.62 (probably within a few days) this situation will cease to exist.

I expected you to click there so I didn't really get why you missed the paid download option.

The post there actually said 1.61 released and those were the 1.60 download links (for ppl without the DLC).

Zippyshare is a great hoster. It's free and has very high download speeds.

Having had a somewhat similar experience when I had my niece and two nephews visiting and peeking over my shoulder while web-surfing, I can empathize at the embarrassment...

I didn't want to laugh about that, it's more the suggestion of adding a paylink when there already is one. Hopefull someone gets my desperation when people suggest these things. Same as someone who asked us to redo the Rotterdam and Amsterdam sectors yesterday....

As you can imagine, I was sat there, with my friends and family, waiting to show them ETS2.
I will be more careful in the future -

I'm still getting pop-ups, tried setting parental controls - removing the download installers from ilivid - been into tools and options in all my different browsers, there's no sign of anything. I even downloaded and installed two different (free) malware and ad removers but nothing works to find or remove whatever it is that has infected all my browsers now. And it is even popping up whilst I am playing ETS, ( without 1.61 ).

I think you missed the "skip ad" button on top of the screen, iLivid is not necessary to obtain the files:

I use and highly recommend Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (free). It found and quarantined several really nasty bugs that tried to hijack my IE10 browser.
