what do you mean by "I'm not the only one with this?" The only way you could have downloaded a Trojan horse is by trying to download the advertisement on the Zippyshare site. There is NO virus distributed by Promods only by the advertisement companies that are paying to get shown on the Zippyshare site. I do think that this little piece of information is left out of the tutorials and is worth noting down on them somewhere. Make sure you click the button in the top banner that says "Skip Ad" then you will be taken to the actual download page.

For the ProMods files, since they now have these .001 files, you have to download all the parts (part 7 is an exception) of the mod (.001 - .006) before opening any winrar, winzip, etc. software. I use winzip / 7zip to extract the ProMods files to get the .scs files that I need for the ETS2 game.
What do you mean part 7 is an exception? All 7 parts (.001 thru .007) are needed to be able to extract the files from the 7-zip archive.RoadRageDude wrote:For the ProMods files, since they now have these .001 files, you have to download all the parts (part 7 is an exception) of the mod (.001 - .006) before opening any winrar, winzip, etc. software.

I heard that one of the guys here had to download part 7 before downloading the 1 - 6 parts.

Sequence of Download is irrelevant - but before you unrar / unzip - you have to have all 7 files (parts) in the same folder.
Mom says to son.
Hey son - can you go to the shop and buy the milk, if they have eggs - buy six.
Sure.
Son goes to the shop and buys six packs of milk and goes back home.
Why did you buy six packs of milk?
Because - they had eggs. And you told me to buy six - if they had eggs.

Zippyshare only lets you download up to 6 files at the same time. Since most people start downloading parts .001-.006 first, they typically have to wait until one of those parts completes downloading before part .007 can be requested for download. The technique that you are referring to was to download part .007 first, and since it is the smallest piece it will (normally) have finished downloading before you have requested the other 6 parts. This is an optional procedure, it only attempts to prevent you from waiting to request the final download piece. You still must download all 7 parts.RoadRageDude wrote:I heard that one of the guys here had to download part 7 before downloading the 1 - 6 parts.
You must be doing something wrong or facing a false alarm in your anti-virus software.
