It's OK to complain and criticize as long as it's reasonable IMO.

It needs to be constructive, but some people need to learn how to handle constructive criticism. I reckon the devs are doing well - the mods, not so well - trying to cover everything with excuses. Devs always give you a great explanation though, and I can't wait for a hopefully optimized Barcelona. I struggle on an overclocked 4.5GhZ & 1GB GPU system!

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one that reached Barcelona and thought "Great <censored> Jesus where's the fire extinguisher for my graphics card."

I was surprised how my laptop could play Barcelona. It lagged a lot but it was well worth it

It's a shame because Barcelona seems like a cool place after all those windy mountains to get there. But instead of going "This is a cool place" most people will be going "I need to get out of here asap". I hope between now and the next patch someone sits down and optimises the heck out of it so people can actually appreciate the work that's gone into it there.

Same issue for me. I've got I5 OC'ed to 4.4GHz, GTX 660 with 2GB, 8gbs of RAM and FPS in Barcelona is dropping below 20. It's nicely done, but those massive interchanges are killing framerates :)
Bilbao instead was working fine for me as well as others areas.

I hope you realise that the Barcelona area used to be much, much worse, and that Mandelsoft has done everything he could to raise the performance.

I don't think the massive interchanges cause the performance drops, to be honest. I mean, Bilbao and Donostia both are spaghetti interchanges on their own, but that doesn't mean that they lag. No, the performance drops in Barcelona are caused by something unknown.

Many details to display at the same time and not to forget game optimization comes from SCS first ( very long story now) :P
Love the map excepted the yellow palm trees : too flashy and I 'd rather see them greener

Spain is the country in ProMods with the most complicated interchanges. Is it really like this in reality ?

Just check Google Maps. Madrid is a clusterfuck of motorways.
