[Obsolete] [Q&A] Which cities/ferries/roads are included?
Too many ferry routes break GPS. Game engine prefers to generate a route by ferry so you get paid much less and there's no fun of driving Turku -> Helsinki

You could add that ferry connection yourself, oobu79.
But GPS prefers ferries over roads, even if the road route would be faster.
That due to the ferry giving less road distance. And that leads to less income.

No, such ferry won't be included because GPS will always show such route, instead of going through Spain.

I must say I miss this Bilbao to Portsmouth ferry from maps made in the past by others (maybe Sparky or someone). If the GPS routes via the ferry it is oh so easy to choose to change the route manually to avoid the ferry if wished. The driving times from A-B often leave me with 1-2 days to spare so this would take care of any extra mileage and time. I like Pro Mods but the biggest reason to change from TSM to Pro Mods for me was the possible inclusion of a ferry from Bilbao to Portsmouth. I have read all the stuff about this being all about trucking and not ferries. To me it is both and that route exists in the real world just like the Dover Ferry, the Newcastle Ferry, the one up in Scotland or anywhere else. It is a shorter route to Spain and Portugal from the UK and an intrinsic part of the trucking network. I swear I once saw a planned ferry route in Pro Mods that showed that route. I recall it swung around really tightly at the Portsmouth end. Exactly why I waited through the last few updates and was shocked and surprised that it was missing.
We know you can always change your route and drive if you want instead of ferry BUT when game generates jobs, it counts ferry route. So, you get paid much less and that's a problem for some users. That's why it was discussed internally and we decided to remove it in public version, even though it was enabled for some time in testing.

Deliveries will earn much less money because ferries are counted as 0km distance.
If Bilbao has port, you can manually add that ferry. Just look to others ferries, it is very easy. For example, I deleted about half of SCS' standard ferry routes in Scandinavia to avoid jumping from city A to city B.

Yes, that's also a solution for more advanced players
If you added it, maybe you can share that file with others so they can also use it.
