Sorry about the recent downtime.
Like I said in the OP I underestimated how busy this site was. One of the servers filled up with logs, ran out of disk space and died.

Ok thank you for your replymichaelmurfy wrote:@Felece PayPal is totally seperate. There is generally nothing for end users to be worried about (in regards to the server compromise) as the damage was just aimed at a couple of sites it was hosting but we store nothing that could compromise your PayPal account.
happy to have you on board

I wonder if anyone has had this small problem?
Since changing my password, I find that the automatic log in facility doesn't work anymore; so, each time I log in, I have to type in my user name and pw manually!

SkuL and myself will be working on moving to the latest version of phpBB as this does indeed support PHP7 which shall make things faster. The forums etc are already pretty quick but we can totally do better.plykkegaard wrote:Welcome michaelmurfy. now you just need to get your hands dirty with some truckin' gamin'

I've just been informed that my server provider will be doing critical network maintenance shortly. This will mean the forums will be down for a brief period of time.
Time Frame
Start Time: February 18, 2017 - 11:00 UTC
End Time: February 18, 2017 - 12:00 UTC
Expected Downtime: 15 minutes
During this time you may experience Cloudflare "failed to connect" messages. If you do, take a coffee break. Everything will be back once you return to your PC.

Thanks for the heads up
FYI the systems (forum) were down shortly earlier today, not any lengthy period of time I assume

Yes the outage email came after that small outage (of which I was woken up for). The outage then was only around 40 seconds but I took the opportunity to issue a server reboot to apply some critical patches making it around a minute. Apologies for any inconvenience.plykkegaard wrote:Thanks for the heads up
