@wolfseye, i presume you are on none opt out of all beta on steam? when 1.27 is officially out change that to temporary 1.26 for incompatible mods. Your game version will not update to any future releases untill you go back to none opt out of all beta.

Hi,

no, if 1.27 gets out of Beta stadium and you choose 1.26, you will stuck on 1.26 and Steam won't update it.

You can imagine as an Beta programm with the latest release of 1.26 and which never gets updated.

Vøytek wrote:As I said, go to that tab and choose that version. This way, after update 1.27 is live, you'll still be on 1.26 as long as you're subscribed to 1.26 for incompatible mods version. After we release new ProMods version for 1.27, you can just unsubscribe from it and your game will update to 1.27.
Awesome, I didnt know that. ;) Thank you so much.

P.S: @Puncake exactly, thats how I have it. And I suppose i can only do that setting once 1.27 is officially out, right ? But then, since Steam updates automatically, wouldnt it update the Game anyways before I can even do that setting ? Or can I do that already now before the Update becomes final, just to make sure it wont happen ? I am sorry if I am asking these questions, I simply dont know much about these things. Still new to this Game and honestly I never really did much of any Beta on Steam. Never needed that.

Hi,

you can also change it right now - you will also stuck on 1.26 after 1.27 gets final.

Ok, so I do that right now and I dont risk going to 1.27 at all. At least not, before I know that the Mods I need are up to date again to work with the Game how I play it right now. Is that correct ? And thanks at all you guys, thats good news. ;)

Hmm, and I was already happy but I think I forgot something. :(

Workshop Mods...

I doubt I can prevent them from automatically updating. And if only a few update, i cant use them with 1.26.x anymore either. And I really love Workshop, because that way (and normally thats good) I dont have to run after these Mods and check everytime for updates. Steam does that for me. But in this case I am afraid, that works against me.

I guess there is no solution for that, is there ?

You can search for the folder Steam saves them in now that they're still for 1.26 and make a copy of them. When they get updated you can unsubsribe from them and have their 1.26 compatible version in your regular mod folder. A bit complicated but it should work.

Steam Workshop mods have the ability to support multiple game versions as each mod can contain separate packages for different versions of the game. All this is done automatically if the author has made the mod this way. ;)
However, I recommend copying the mods into your local mod folder for greater stability.

Well, Problem is, i tried that. On SCS Forum i was told i just need to .zip the files up and put then into local mos folder. I tried that with one or two i knew were working with Workshop, but with a new profile and only those tested, though they show up in Mod list, but they don't work. Anything different with the way Workshop Mods need to be when packed up and used in local mod folder?
