Most of them use Google Street View
At least that what i heard
British Isles Development
Google Maps, Google Street View and OSM are mostly used. In some very unnatural situations, local sources are used. For example Wicklow Gas Station, bricksathome used local sources because that gas station is way new.

I mainly use Google Streetview, and I try to find drivelapses (driving timelapses). If I don't find any drivelapses I make a Google Steetview timelapse on a site I found, to get the idea and feel of the road. Many other devs use Google Streetview as well. In countries without Google Streetview (like Germany and Austria) we use something called Mapillary.

Well I was suggesting some other new sources for British Isles. SABRE says it's "society of road enthusiast", so they do have a go on almost all registered roads, including obscure ones (like four digit routes, C/D/R routes) and technicalities, but that means they always update things themselves, including photographs of the road (and sometimes videos). cbrd is maintained by one member. They also contribute to OpenStreetMap, hence the new M8 is there while others (google maps or bing or such) haven't catched up. Just some suggestions really.
Thanks to my young friend, this information can be very useful
Oh, this is reeeeeeeaaaaally cool. Thanks for this info

BTW, what's behind the black bar on the right? Places your still working on?
Thanks for your hard work so far!
