Maybe but it's a pain to bugfix 2.16 at the moment, so we won't do it anymore.
The next release will be 2.2 and it'll of course fix some known bugs + many knows bugs that we have in new content.

That's also true. Some bugs are really annoying, sometimes coming back unexpected.

Hi,

why not just to provide fixed Promods files for replacement in the mod folder instead of a separate hot fix? It would be still less data to download than the complete map. Southern Region team f.e. did it in this way.

Hi,

but then you have the same problem with the hotfix - not all people download the patch, and then you get many bugreports for already fixed bugs.

Best regards,

If you see how many are struggling opening a simple archive and extracting it, or even don't bother reading at all, a file replacement would only be suitable for the more experienced user. So ya, sadly we all have to download the full release every time. But I'm fine with that, just do something else while downloading

File specific replacing would only work for everyone if they would create an updater or script that does it.
Otherwise it probably would be to hard for most people.
And also most of the Promods Archives are locked.

I was talking about .scs files. Is it really too hard for the vast majority just to extract some files and confirm overwriting the old ones? Hard to imagine... But it seems reality...

^^ For power users who know what they're doing, not hard at all. With the rest of the users, maybe they overlook the patch then complain about the bugs that were already fixed.

@Voytek.. hotfix also means regularity.. no only small size :) so.. there is better then release patched version, than make new holes with one hotfix for 2-3 months :)
The hot-fix regularity will not change the fact that it will cause issues with the map that we have seen already repeatedly. I find that the bigger more stable releases are more worth waiting for and they won't cause problems that are avoidable by not putting 'band-aids' all over the map.
