Yeah, was planning to give that a try to see how it looks. But wanted to check if people are OK with me making such parking/viewing spot before spending a lot of time on it. Seems people like it :)

Otherwise it's so empty there ;)
Show me a Google Streetview image in Iceland with flowers please. I haven't seen any. I'll likely decorate the place with... well... surprise:... rocks.

I also thought about Iceland being a nice island for a starting developer. But as I have no time whatsover there was no chance for me to propose such a thing :S Maybe I can help with the Faroer islands...

Some items to consider:
- Hveragerði has a lot of hot springs and therefor is the place with a lot of green houses
- There are quite some 1-way bridges on route 1
- Jökulsárlón is certainly a place to include (but likely lots of new textures to be created...)

The 1-way bridges are all gone from route 1 if I remember it right.

Google Streetview still has them. I guess streetview is outdated? When did they replace the 1-lane bridges?

I was answering that 1-way post.
1-way, 1-lane not the same ;)
They are 1-lane as route 1 is.

You have to make connection from Seyðisfjörður to Egilstaðir as Egilstaðir is a fairly big town which route 1 goes through and connects to Seyðisfjörður through route 93

Google Streetview is outdated in a lot of places, check the top left corner to see the date of the photos. The map itself should be up to date though.

EDIT: After looking at some places in Iceland with streetview, I saw that most of Iceland has pretty recent photos (2013) :P

This is absolutely great Purno :)
Really looking forward for your progress on Reykjavik.

The area around Reykjavik is quite big. If it is possible you can make those highways realistically.
To note, there are one underwater tunnel, just right north of Reykjavik.

Some part of that underwatertunnel has 2+1 lanes, something i have never seen before.

Yeah, I should probably add a few houses there. Won't be much though.

Reykjavík, not anytime soon. Working on easier parts of Iceland first, to practice my skills. I do plan to make Reykjavík's road structure realistically though. Can't make everything very realistic.
