Use the "a" key in the overview mode. See the "F1" help pop-up menu in the editor.

but it's all red. how do you actaully put a google map on it?

That means that it can't find the texture. This happens quite often when you make a map with a base map other than the standard Europe one.

I'm using stds and if I want to save it says: failed to mount the base in read - write mode. The map IS NOT saved

Have yo created a "base" directory in your installation folder at all?

Hey i have one problem what is key for adding signs ? i tired G and 5 both didn't work and i don't have sign add on my editor list, then i randomly pressed button which oppened but i don't know which :/ any solution ? i'm making map so i really need signs
