I don't agree so much with this. Reykjavik is not a very large city and we need to respect scale of the map also in cities. In my opinion, it's not a good idea to build Reykjavik with the same size than Paris in the game.

So, I think that the size shown in Purno's map looks appropriate, looking on the size of the prefabs placed on map. City will be great in size, but without to much density. So is Reykjavik. Also, I see a few 2*2 roads like in real city.

Good work Purno, continue so :D

This is my current plan to add all these companies. But I can change the plan depending on the feedback I get here. I need enough companies to establish a decent economy on this island. Do note that IKEA and Sellplan aren't generating jobs, but only accepting cargo.

Reykjavík is already huge with all those intersections. Consider that the map is scaled 1:19, so all these intersections are 19 times larger than in real life.

phew, glad you like it. I was afraid I made the city too big. The map files are uploaded to dropbox, in case you wanna take a look :)

Also, a few WIP shots of the custom-built intersections

One does not simply build a whole city from scratch without IKEA

Love the location of IKEA, apparently the restaurant there is the best rated in the whole country :lol: Keep going.

I have to say, I was skeptical at first, but what you're doing here is stunning!

Well, glad you all like it. Placing each piece of road, each building, each traffic sign, and everything else very carefully, is a time consuming job. But the results are worth it as long as you all like it.

Some new screenshots of Reykjavík in progress;

Option B: Make these towns, as that'd shorten distances. Iceland can't be compared to mainland Europe after all.

If you need to convert image format, use tool, that allows you to change copression/quality and set it to 60%, because it's one of the best quality/size balance.
