i gave up after about 5 minutes i will go back and try again!!

It was 1:30 for me. And then less than 10 seconds.
Follow my fix that was already mentioned above and it'll load much faster the 2nd time you load it. 1st time will always take very long, depending on your PC.

Here's a fix for all of you, no matter if you use the DLC or not. Looks like SCS fixed their sector in Genova in today's patch, so my fix from above is not needed if you delete some sectors. Follow my instructions below:

We can't provide a file for that, unfortunately. It happened due to last-minute fixing of 2.25 and some vanilla 1.30 sectors got included.

If you don't own the DLC, you can still delete those files, it'll fix the long loading time issue too.

Go to Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod.
Right-click on "promods-map-v225.scs" file and open it with 7-zip/WinRAR.
Go to map/europe folder.
Find and delete:

• sec-0001+0007.base
• sec-0002+0008.base
• sec-0003+0008.base

Don't delete any other file or you'll have to download ProMods again.

Now launch the game again. All DLC Italia areas and cities should work properly now and the game will load fast of course. Have fun!

I tried few times. It takes 11-13 min. Previous version takes about 6 min.

Oh yes! 10 seconds is way faster than the minute or so it used to take. Still not sure about the new navigation algorithms though:

Note that I have navigation set to shortest route.
