Really nice screenshots! Are you using a mod to make the camera zoom out a lot more? (Or am I missing something?)
Thank you! You can enable the "free-flying" camera via a simple edit to the configuration file for the game. It is described here:

https://ets2.lt/en/laisvos-kameros-pamoka/

The middle wheel on my mouse increases/decreases the speed of flight, maybe yours will too and you won't have to make any more edits if unhappy with the speed. Use F12 to take screenshots (though without the functions of the game's photo mode).

Also useful - if you get trapped in traffic or otherwise stuck you can fly away from the problem area and then "land" the camera close to the road - then press F9 and your truck will teleport to the new position. Just make sure there are no vehicles approaching you nearby or they may crash into your suddenly materialising lorry.

Cheers!

One last trip in Wales and northern England in late February... travelling from ProMods' Fishguard to ProMod's Holyhead, and finishing off in default Liverpool.

Image

Fishguard is a really nice place.

Image

Cargo for Swansea.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Looks like the Welsh don't roll their sheep in iron filings.

Image

Swansea, south Wales.

Image

Image

Image

New cargo for Holyhead.

Image

Out in the Welsh countryside, driving northeast.

Image

Image

Image

Back in the colder north, we can say goodbye to blue skies and flowers, at least for today.

Image

Image

Image

Stopped to get some rest. Some interesting trailers parked around.

Image

Next morning we got an early start. It was tipping down.

Image

Gor blimey.

Image

We've reached Holyhead.

Image

Handed over the truck to another driver, who's taking it overseas. And once again, snow began to fall.

Image

We've got a strange new trailer to take to Liverpool.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Outskirts of Liverpool. Fine little church.

Image

Arrived at last, Liver Building on the right, I think.

Image

It's always darkest just before the dawn, they say, which is rubbish because the earth is more or less a ball so it' likely to be darkest between 12 and 1 am, right? Anyway, the next set will be a little brighter, a little less gloomy. But for now, in Liverpool, the snow is falling, snow on snow, snow on snow on snow...

Moving on... here we go... to part 8 of this tour of the vanilla map area with Messrs ProMods, Grimes andJazzycat in da house...

This time we're in South Germany in late March, with a couple of short trips to Switzerland and Austria. It's a really nice region, having a great time exploring it all, hope you enjoy the shots...

We started off in Bonn and Koblenz (visiting them for the second time), then headed down to Mainz and Weisbaden, and then back to Koblenz. It bucketed down with rain the whole time... well, it's March in Central Europe. At least the flowers were out, and it wasn't snowing.

Image

Tres Bonn.

Image

What a mansion, pt. 2. I hope it's not Chris's blood.

Image

Image

Rolandseck, between Bonn and Koblenz.

Image

Love this trailer, very snazzy.

Image

Some industrial scenery, just for old time's sake.

Image

Koblenz's riverside Smacznego! stall is closed for the day due to the rain. Note the portaloos strategically placed nearby for tourists who can't handle that Smacznego! goodness.

Image

Image

Campsite near Loreley.

Image

Following the river to Mainz.

Image

Mainz.

Image

Image

Image

Right across the river from Mainz is Weisbaden.

Image

Some places have great atmosphere.

Image

Uh-oh. Power station car park afflicted by chink in reality. Brace for an influx of Hounds of Tindalos.

Image

What the...? I'm sure that sign was straight when we went in.

Image

Image

Mainz/Weisbaden (and Koblenz + Bonn) is a great little area packed with scenic goodies.

Image

Loreley. Time for some ethereal warbling and plangent guitars from the Cocteau Twins.

Image

Great tunnel/exit ramp solution here - back in Koblenz.

Image

Keep discovering something new in this area. Very impressive.

Image

More atmosphere...

That's it for now...

Woke up early in Koblenz for our 2nd trip of 5 in the area of Southern Germany. Today we're travelling via Frankfurt to Wurth and Nurnberg.

Image

Image

By lucky chance one of those awesome helicopter trailers was available. Not planning to take it all the way to Vyazma, though.

Image

Vineyards by the Rhine. Just checked google maps for Loreley and Koblenz and found they aren't quite as close as ETS2 would have you believe : D. We're going the other way today, at least at the start.

Image

Lovely view from the cab.

Image

If only more of Germany was like this in ETS2.

Image

Scooting past Mainz.

Image

Heavy on final as we also approach Frankfurt.

Image

Image

Airport terminal.

Image

Image

Wow...

Image

Skyscrapers! Quite a rare sight...

Image

Yet another ICE train, couldn't resist.

Image

Looks like parks and maintenance have been neglecting this monument a little.

Image

Frankfurt industry, and both runways in use in the background.

Image

Image

Our tour continues.

Image

Obviously it's important that the helicopter gets to visit every street in Frankfurt.

Image

Now, on to Wurth/Nurnberg. They're so close together it was hard to tell where one ended and the next began. Luckily it's not that important.

Image

Oh no... here we go again. More rain.

Image

Someone seems to have brought the family out trucking - and got caught by the rain. Now they're in the cafe. Hope no one nicks the furniture.

Image

Some kind of lock system going on here. Looks interesting.

Image

Wurth.

Image

Image

Image

Image

And this must be part of Nurnberg. Looks like it was definitely Wurth coming here...

That's it for today. Cheers!

Part three of five in southern Germany. This time we travel south from Nurnberg via Aurach into Austria, visiting Reutte and Obsteig.

Image

Rainy Nurnberg.

Image

Interesting agglomeration.

Image

Can't resist another shot of this great architecture, nicely modelled.

Image

Leaving town.

Image

Image

Cool structure on the river.

Image

Back out in the countryside.

Image

Colourful chaos in Aurach.

Image

Cool... a building site for a wind generator.

Image

Southward ho!

Image

Image

Approaching Austria, I guess.

Image

Image

And suddenly were in the Tyrol region of Austria, at the market town of Reutte.

Image

At the market they sell mainly heavy fuel oil...

Image

Along winding picturesque roads to Obsteig.

Image

Past a castle on an island.

Image

Image

Image

Obsteig. Let's stop here for a break.

Image

Image

Next morning we woke up early to find it had snowed...

Image

Image

Image

A snowy dawn as we start out for Ulm.

Cheers

More journeys in southern Germany... this time travelling from Obsteig in Austria to Mannheim, with a total of four of Grimes's season mods on show. It's March in Central Europe...

Image

Chilly Alpine conditions in late March.

Image

Heading north, there's less snow on the ground.

Image

Image

By the time we got to Ulm there was no snow to be seen. Great cathedral they have in Ulm...

Image

New cab, new cargo - the locomotive Glamrung.

Image

Glamdring is rather heavy but somehow we're managing.

Image

You dare to overtake Glaurung the mighty??!

Image

Gimli Gloinsson heads north.

Image

At last, Glorfindel arrives in Stuttgart.

Image

Classic.

Image

Next stop Heilbronn.

Image

Image

Very nice!!

Image

Another smart trailer.

Image

Image

Heilbronn. A very nice town.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Last cargo for today, for the short trip to Mannheim.

Image

Image

Classic... again.

Image

Those grotty tower blocks bring a bit of character to the town...

One more set to go, bye for now...
