Hi Guys,
I don't know if its a mod problem, but I seem to have elongated shadows extending out of the sides of all the trailers that carry boats diggers forklifts ect ect.
The rest of the trailers are fine.
Any idea what might be causing this?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Dave

Cargoes that belong to the "machinery" category, right? And some Man trucks too, if it's the bug I'm thinking of...saltysam4981 wrote: ↑22 Mar 2018 00:34I seem to have elongated shadows extending out of the sides of all the trailers that carry boats diggers forklifts ect ect.
If so, temporary fix is here: viewtopic.php?p=202636#p202636

I've seen the "big black tray" shadow error recently, in a parked truck. OSX (El Cap), latest greatest (Steam) ETS2. Not a PM issue, since I was in Italia.

In my case at least, profiles without ProMods don't show the shadow error while hauling the same cargoes. No matter which other mods are in use. Newly created profiles, with no mod other than ProMods, always show the shadow error.
I'm searching the forum for a post from months ago that said something about outdated shadow mats that caused this issue...
EDIT: found it (I think)

I never had actually seen that so it has to be an other Mod or issues with OpenGL if you running the Game in OpenGL MOde.

What puzzles me is that not everybody have the issue. Driver/OS/hardware related stuff maybe? I always play in dx9 mode and 64 bit (changing to opengl and/or 32 bit makes no difference).
I once did an experiment: moved all content of "My Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2" to another folder and started a new profile from absolute scratch. Never had shadow bug.
Then moved back only the ProMods files and created yet another new profile with it activated. Guess what happens?

The "big black tray" shadow seems to have changed a little bit since a few versions ago. I saw one (on the southern ferry route to Sicily) that seemed much deeper (i.e. the sides were taller) than the usual shallow tray which looks like maybe 1 ft high, 18in at most. I don't see it often and consider it more of an annoyance than a bug... an illusion breaker and therefore bad, but doesn't affect gameplay.
