Yes, because if SCS or Promods would close it or something, they would damage their image

If they only close the bridge, not necessarily, if they present it right. After all, it's just real life, and I think, after 9/11, some flight simulation games did remove the twin towers from their game, at least in the next version (because at that time major updates in game were less frequent).
If they starts to make events about it, it's different. But you have to realise that the road will probably be closed for years, because after what happened, (in real life) they will first have to destroy completely the existing bridge and build a new one, not just rebuild the destroyed part, because nobody will have ever confidence about the existing bridge. So a event resulting of the reopening of the road could not be considered before years...
And, as ETS is a game, you have also to consider the gameplay aspect. When they decided to close the road in California to follow real life, there was almost no impact on the gameplay because it was not the main road between north and south california, and there was better alternative roads. Here, if you close the A10, the only other option to go from Nice (or Marseille) to south Italy would be to take the A6 to Torino, then the A21 and finally the A7 which is a quite longer road than using the A10. So SCS would probably have to model a bypass road (using existing road not (yet) modelled by SCS) of this bridge, but as the scale in ETS is 1:19, the question would be, is there enough space to do it without redoing completely Genova...

Well, In real life you've also now to choose an other road, that may be longer to drive, until the Bridge is finished again.
You can't just say, it would be a longer route to drive, so Keep it in this way.

Yes, but in real life at least vehicules will not have to drive all the way to Torino, there will be bypass itineraries using the existing road network of Genova.Trucker2223 wrote: ↑15 Aug 2018 11:38Well, In real life you've also now to choose an other road, that may be longer to drive, until the Bridge is finished again.
You can't just say, it would be a longer route to drive, so Keep it in this way.
For example, arriving from the westside (from France), you take the last exit before the bridge, then Via Enrico Melen, then the SS1 (which, except for a junction, is mostly a 4 lane express road) all the way to the jonction with A7, on the other side of the bridge.
Or, probably only for the cars (because you go through Genova), all the way to the SS45 and then the junction "Genova Est" of the A10, to go further south. You can also stay on SS1 until Genova Nervi, if you want.
But theses roads are not modelled in ETS, and if you want to do it seriously, before closing the bridge you have to model them (at least the shortest one joining the A7)

Do you know how long does it take to build one single road? Totally not 1 hour.
Also, this job may be taken by SCS (if it isn't already).

What the hack ppl deaths have with representing the real state of the terrain in the mod?CptCaribbean wrote: ↑14 Aug 2018 21:53It wouldn't be. On this case several people died and it wouldn't be such a good idea.
Does it mean that twin towers should never have be removed from some new york game mods?

I'm not saying that. What I'm saying is not to put any kind of special transport like they did tith the Big Sur landslide in the ATS because it'd seem like a joke. For sure they should build the future bridge that will replace the Riccardo Morandi.
