I know it takes a lot of time to make map very realistic. I'm also working on Pomerania region (north of Poland) in 1:2 scale and I know that making one village can sometimes take few days of hard work
That's why your job impressed me. Are you palnning to make whole France and Switzaland or only some region on the south of France and maybe whole Switzerland? Building whole France in 1:1 in Map Editor will take years of work.
I wish you all a lot of motivation and strength in this project.
[REL] [1.35->1.44] France Switzerland Germany Map 1:1
There is also 1:1 scale Paris so maybe maps can be combined in future.
Working on San Diego map, 2:5 scale: www.promods.net/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=25293
I NEED HELP for:
- landscape
- details
- signage and
- company advisors (which companies to put where)

Impressive work, Farmer'S [TV].
I'm also interested to know if you're modelling all of the area, or only around the major roads. On the Paris 1:1 project, each 150m square takes over an hour to complete, so it will be a year's work just to model the arondissements.

Nice work, Ficfic.
Can I ask what settings you have for sidewalks? A bug on the Paris1:1 is that the sidewalks on the French prefab junctions don't seem to match height with the roads (the three I use most are the 2 lane highway set to "city road", road narrow, and road minimum). Sidewalks on the road sections are higher than on the prefabs, so the driver can see through the gap and into space. (Prefab road terrain is set to "city plain" and coefficient "0"). The matching on the F&S map looks much better.
Thanks,
fisherm

At this place, I put manually the sidewalk.
