After "little" break I am moving north of CA 94, which should be a final step to the north before release.

Map progress:

Downtown and Mission hills took me too much time. I will never make so many streets again.

Terrain without grass isn't a problem, but I am afraid of models. On another side, there won't be models for a long time until someone else takes that job. It is so far that I even didn't think about that. Now, when I am curious, will it be the case if he (somebody) set drawing distance to 400-500?
EDIT:
If drawing distance of houses is 400: In Downtown, I had 40-50 fps and one drop down to 37. Far enough is 47-70 fps.
When I did that with 950, the game crashed after a few miles of driving.
It is good to know where are limits. I expect better fps in future parts of the map because north of Interstate 8 I am planning to double or triple distance between streets.
EDIT:
So I decided to do some testing. I filled areas around 8-14 lane Interstate 5 with houses above the map and the highest possible traffic. There are so many houses that I can't copy half of the sector because the game crashed. All roads are still on 1500 drawing distance.

* Make drawing distance of city roads to 400 and highway to 900.brainiac wrote: ↑12 Aug 2019 21:46Now, when I am curious, will it be the case if he (somebody) set drawing distance to 400-500?

* Make straight or scenery roads NON-High definition and make vegetation NON-Smooth and LOW Polygone.
* If there is option, select second house row or model row LOD Models
So basically try to save as much t.c. and d.c. value as possible by reducing quality of map.

Thank you for advices.
