does anyone know when 2.40 compatiable with 1.35 is coming out?

hi couldn't find where to put this...……….

does anyone know when 2.40 compatiable with 1.35 is coming out? I literally bought 2.40 today and ets2 says not compatiable any help is appreciated

how have you literally bought 2.40 when its free to download you should check things before downloading

It will be released as soon as it is ready; 2.41 is still in testing. If you would have made a search around the forum, you would have had your answer. ;)

No, you literally did not buy 2.40; ProMods is a free mod. ;) If you paid money, you paid for the alternative high-capacity download service.

Yes, because 2.40 is for ETS2 version 1.34.x, which is stated quite clearly at several points during the download process. I assume you have probably upgraded your game to 1.35.x? You can play ProMods 2.40 if you downgrade your game back to 1.34.x in Steam.

I am aware of the fact that no ETA can be given.

But I was thinking, would devs be so kind to explain what are the main challenges in adapting 1.35 to Promods?

I would like to know a bit about dev process, if possible.

* we hunt and check for these files and update all of our models

* merging Germany begins and we chose to insert certain areas and exclude certain areas
* after the merging some areas need to be rebuilt or upgraded from scratch (notably Nürnberg)

* then the "beta" version is distributed to all of our testers who check it in DX9, DX11 and have to cover every single new bit of road to make sure there are no critical faults

We are now at that final stage and after the results of the testing come in we still have about 500 bugs to improve, repack, test again with a release candidate and then prepare the release for distribution.

How long does this take? Not sure.. 2 weeks, 4 weeks.. if we set a release date we will ALWAYS get complaints when we don't make the date. Therefore we cannot give any indications.
1.35 has been a really big update that changes a lot to the game engine, therefore it takes time for us to adapt our work. Extracted the mod exceeds 7GB now..

Nice. Thanks for the repost. After 3 pages of the same questions and answers I stopped following the original thread and missed this breakdown. You all do amazing work.

Thank you Trucker2223. It would be nice if this would be pinned, as it explains a lot, and as Vacendak mentioned due to the people not following thread all the time, or asking "When it will be done", such detailed breakdown can be overlooked.

Release it when it is ready. There is not rush :)
