I can't wait for Devon and Cornwall Rebuild.. I live in Cornwall.. so test is on! I hope Plymouth gets a good rebuild, it needs it!! And more places would be nice in SW England like the Clay Mines and ports.

Is there any plans for Brum to get a rebuild?

Plymouth, Birmingham and Newcastle need a rebuild, then Bristol needs adding in to break up the M4/M5 junction rather than a very unrealistic cross over junction.

Birmingham?
Yes, Brum is what the locals often call Birmingham (although im sure it has other less nice nicknames).
I also think Birmingham should have a rebuild on a similar scale to London, as the second city of the UK (and 2nd highest population). Would be good as it is somewhat industrial.

There are a lot of areas in the UK which need a rebuild still ;) . We want them rebuilt as much as you do but it’s just a limit of time to map and manpower.

With a regard to development, how do you guys plan it anyway. I would've thought going through the main bits of motorway would come first instead of rebuilding the cities, but then I realised that especially due to scale and with big cities like birmingham you'd have to design the road network and the city together?

I should really start messing around in the map editor haha

It is indeed the case that when upgrading the motorways the cities become a vital element in condense areas. Bristol and Birmingham are good examples where upgrading is cumbersome because of the city redesign. Building an average city in ETS2 takes about 1 month of development time. Building a bigger city like B'ham can take up to 6 months or longer (for 1 person).

One of the biggest issues with the UK is how bad the road layout is. Compared to some countries the road network is a lot harder to work with, there are a lot of important motorways and A roads missing for example, roads like the M40. This makes rebuilding areas like Birmingham for example a lot harder because you need to redesign the entire road network around it which is not a easy task. This is one of the hardest challenges because it means we sometimes must rebuild huge areas so we can link up roads properly.
