Trying to make my own personal (as in not published) mod to add color to the main map as I have a really hard time discerning what is a road and what is a country border. Anyone know where I can find either a colored map mod for 2.45 or where I can get the map.dds files (listed below) found in "materiel\ui\map\"?
map.dds
map0.dds
map1.dds
map2.dds
map3.dds
Thank you (from an American that doesn't know my way around Europe )
map.dds files for 2.45

extract the SCS base.
or look around how other modders did it, for example:

EDIT:
So extracting the SCS maps does not work. The base SCS maps are unchanged as my personal 1.36 colored map (and several downloaded ones) all match and when used in 2.45, the overlay is shifted East and South versus the roads in ProMods. I have even tried a previous colored map for ProMods 2.43 and it also is shifted in 2.45. I have to assume then that ProMods 2.45 is using a new set of map.dds files (which makes sense due to the scope of the changes).
Does anyone know where to get those as the archives are locked?

EDIT:
If the files are unable to be shared, how have other modders been able to create colored ProMods maps without those files? Were they locked in previous versions?

Maybe they edited the original SCS background, added our areas and recolored them. When we started, we took SCS' map as a base, so those modders probably just recreated our steps and added colors

Makes sense but if you all won't release the dds files for folks to create maps, will you atleast consider an optional colored map as an install option? Maybe with the def file creator? Nothing fancy, just simple colored countries would be great.
I also would really want a mod like this. Before I used to use this mod https://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=269042
But it isn't aligned correctly anymore. I have tried to find tutorials on how to change the map offset but to no avail. When extracting the scs file I can see the dds files but I don't know what do to with theam...
I feel like it should be fairly easy to do if you just knew how.
