I think that a gamelog after the crash needed!
Latest game.log (No crash on most recent session)

The log should be after the crash so someone can see the error that appears!
However in that log looks like you have set g_traffic to 10 with only 8GB RAM so you may run out of memory and that's why your game crashes.

Yes this error means you are running out of memory. Try to set g_traffic to 1.0 or 2.0 and it will probably stop crashing!
Also you can try to set the following in the launch options:
Also you can try to set the following in the launch options:
Code: Select all
-mm_pool_size 4000 -mm_max_resource_size 32 -mm_max_tmp_buffers_size 1000
I decided to try the launch option recommendation first, and whilst it's early days, it does seem to have helped. Done a run from London to the Channel Tunnel, and had no problems. I'll have to give it a longer go tomorrow, but hopefully, the issue has been solved.
Thanks for your help.

@Gregster it happened to me too before, although my PC only has 4gb of RAM. Have you tried increasing the buffer page size? Jazzycat's packs are really resource hungry.
g_traffic 10 is the most horrible thing to do which eventually makes any game crashing for running out of memory because it simply too much even for a performant PC. use a traffic density mod and you gain twice, better traffic flow and no more crashes if you add correct launch option. jazzycat traffic mod are not heavy at all, with the right configuration, I use all except painted trucks and many other packs and trailers in traffic

Agree, I personally use the "Real Traffic Density" mod by Cip, imho the best but ymmv. Never ever mess around with g_traffic, use a traffic-mod.cipinho wrote: ↑16 Apr 2020 00:44g_traffic 10 is the most horrible thing to do which eventually makes any game crashing for running out of memory because it simply too much even for a performant PC. use a traffic density mod and you gain twice, better traffic flow and no more crashes if you add correct launch option.
Disagree, it depends on your hardware, your game config, what kind of mods you have and how you stack them (and probably a thousand other factors). I use several (I am addicted to those mods) of Jazzycat's mods on a very high-end system. One of them bombed out my game with a lot of micro-stutters. Nothing to do with that mod in particular, but the combination. Removed it. All good. So, it depends on you setup......
Thanks I am glad to read this about my modOldAndTired wrote: ↑17 Apr 2020 17:26Agree, I personally use the "Real Traffic Density" mod by Cip, imho the best
true, a good PC (at least average) a clean gamlog are mandatory conditions. you need also my recommended launch option to allocate more memory and all issues are solved, no more lag and stuttering . I only had the feeling that jazzycat painted trucks pack is too much (feeding excessively my RAM so I removed it, otherwise I use all with absolutely no issuesOldAndTired wrote: ↑17 Apr 2020 17:26Disagree, it depends on your hardware, your game config, what kind of mods you have and how you stack them
