Sorry to bother again, but is there any other way to fix the shifting? the background clashes with Google Maps mod which I need and of course, as the BG should be at the top, I can't place Maps above it

Okay, you are using that one! Try and move the Google Maps above my World View mod,
it can work, but if it doesn't work, I suggest that you check on that mods home topic, as
I have talked to that creator and he might already have the solution for you!

try using Google map Rusmap addon instead of a background mod, works for me.

Yep zooming works fine, no crash.
