Faroe Islands and Iceland Development

Well JohnBart, then Google Maps was very accurate. Mainly because nothing changes there. It stays the same for years.

Is there something planned for the islands? Maybe it is worth to model Runavik, a lot of Russian boats go there to get their fish. There will be a new subsea tunnel from Runavik to Strendur. Maybe consider to add that. It will be really cool if we could see more of the beautiful islands. Altho I know the space is always the problem... ancien

It connects Tórshavn to Runavík and Strendur.

Hmm, this was a known bug back in 2.20, but checking it now, I also noticed that the city does not get discovered again when going there via the ferry - only by placing the truck via the developer camera. Maybe the bug has regressed. Thanks for pointing this out!

No thanks, it's up to the developer of the area to fix this issue. I've already filed a bug for this. Here's hoping it'll be fixed for 2.50.

Yes, when I was there I have been to those places. They really like tunnels... Toll tunnels, 100 kr. per go, pay at the way back. Oh I love the Faroe Islands. How small it is. We spoke to a guy in Torshavn, he was about to board a ferry to Suduroy. He told me they were blasting there the final parts too. They were broadcasting it live on TV. Big hype.

You know, I would love to see the very north too in Promods, places like Nordepil, where there are a lot of fisheries. and the single lane non lighted tunnels.

I know it is only a small piece of a big work but it is a gem, both in real life and in the game...

all this tunnel chat remind me that iceland has gone away from tolling hvalfjarðargögn for couple of years so you just drive past the old gates , i also like the scandinavia route and that is that you can just drive past and it automatic charge you... iceland had it also like that.

it was a private company that had build and manage the hvalfjarðargögn/tunnel but goverment took over that operation so its a part of country road and free to drive through.

Actually the new 'old toll' didn't make it in 2.50 as it comes with the rework of Borgarnes, etc... so it'll be in 2.55 or 2.60
