Port Talbort is kind of already in the game as a scenery town.Galactic_Nerd-sk wrote: ↑12 Sep 2020 18:53I think that whole M4 corridor needs redoing, all the way from the M25 to Swansea. Bristol and Newport need to be added as well as Port Talbot for the full M4 experience - it also needs to be super boring for added realism!

Ironically one of the places this occurs is at Almondsbury where both the M4 and M5 have lane drops through the junction. Other places off the top of my head are the Tinsley Viaduct in the M1 J34, M1/M62 Lofthouse Interchange both have lane drops through the junction, M3/M25 Thorpe Interchange and quite a few more.
The thing that gets me on ETS is how Crudely SCS did. the drops but still retained the same carriageway width through the junction.
my point was if you look at all the thousands of junctions across the motorway network theres only a very small percentage of them that drop from 3 lanes to 2 at junctions, and thats one of the biggest problems with the base scs uk map. All they did was take the existing road infrastructure from the mainland europe and re-program t for traffic to drive on the left as an after thought.

exactly - i believe its almost exactly the same as the UK Truck Sim map which itself was a slightly modified version of the ETS1 UK map
so essentially the base game comes with a 10 year old map in dire need of a rebuild.

ProMods has done great work on the rebuilt parts.
When SCS makes rebuilds there? no clue.

I get what you’re saying, but it’s really not the case, particularly with Motorway-Motorway Junctions. It’s very rarer that you’d find a Motorway-Motorway (Or even in some cases a HQDC/Motorway-HQDC/Motorway) junction that is free flow that doesn’t drop lanes through it. Even some non-freeflow junctions like Simister Island (M60/M66/M62) which uses a roundabout drops lanes through it. Junctions like Strensham Interchange (M5 J8/M50 Terminus) and (M6J17/M45 Terminus) both don’t. More often than not on the the M25 drops lanes through its junctions, it’s the norm rather than the exception. For S1 A-Roads interacting with Motorways it’s the opposite because of the lack of exit and entry flow to the motorway, there isn’t the need for that exit/entry capacity. The big dog 1984 wrote: ↑17 Sep 2020 11:32i know, i have lived in the south west since i was 3,Jamesfrench2309 wrote: ↑16 Sep 2020 20:33Thats not all that rare. I have made a slideshow of the current M4 from Junction 49 to Junction 1 and back.
I plan on doing one each time Pro Mods updates it so can look back and see what improvements have been made.
Hope you like it anyway.
