Why are the roads so wide?

It's nearly impossible to find a realistic rural road, other than Iceland and Norway. In fact, most rural roads in fact are wider than the ones in the states. Has the promods team considered making more narrow roads like the one in this video?

^As Citelis mentioned above. They are wide like this, so that players using a keyboard (or simply, players who are not pro drivers) can also drive and navigate as safely as possible.

There's another reason why the lanes are too wide: there's a limitation in-game that lanes of a road profile are always the same width, no matter how it's curved, while in reality, lanes get wider when curves get sharper (check out how wide lanes are at serpentine curves). SCS made the lanes wider so that you and (more importantly) the AI doesn't bump into each other on neighbouring lanes around a curve. That's why they are wide
