Where can I find information how to convert a map from one game version to another?
I am looking for information about how to convert sector files (aux, base, data, desc) as well as how to convert the model files (pmg, pmd, pmc) and also prefabs (pmg, pmd, ppd).
Does there exist a conversion tool which can convert the whole map (with all objects). If so where can I find this and where can I find information how to use it?
Before I sent this request I searched this forum for about 5 hours and did not find anything.
In case a thread answering my questions should already exist I prefer you please send me a link to it rather than just telling me that they were already answered.

I mean specificly from 1.32 (the last version where the TSM-Map contained the North African coast) to 1.40. I will try to use the North African coast as extension for my map.

You will have a very hard time achieving this because a lot has changed.
But the only way to do this is to go from one version to the next one, taking into account the modding changes.
So you will have to do 1.32->1.33->1.34 etc

Hello
I had no problems converting 1.32->1.33->1.34 but after changing to 1.35 I have the following problem:
The mapfiles (aux, base, data, desc) seem to be correct, you can start the map in the game as well as in the editor without crash but when you look into the log-file you find one of these warnings for each model, sign, mover etc. which is included in the map :
<WARNING> [model] Model geometry '/model/vegetation/trees_yungas/palm_tree2.pmg' has incorrect file version 506d6714 - expected version 506d6715. Converting...
I guess between game version 1.34 and 1.35 the version of the pmg files changed from 506d6714 to 506d6715. I think for properly converting the map to 1.35 I have to update the pmg files to version 506d6715 .
Am I right in assuming that the convertion tool on this site : https://modding.scssoft.com/wiki/Docume ... sion_Tools is not the correct one for this task?
Does there exist a tool which directly updates pmg files from 506d6714 to 506d6715 or do I have to load them with Blender or Zmodeller and save them in the new version?

This conversion is built in the game. You have to add a parameter to the startup options in steam, for instance;
Then the game will dump the PMG files in the new format
