Hi Guys,
I'm experiencing my game crashing on the approach to discovering Exeter M5 UK; this begins where the road from Marsh Barton joins the M5 and just before the curved Overbridge the game freezes, with a section of the road missing (just plain sky blue), and fields to either side similarly effected!
I've pasted my game log :-
Hope someone can help?

try removing jazzycat mods as those mods require a good PC, you also have some outdated sound mod and arrange your mods like this
PC SPECS: ASUS PRIME H310M-R R2.0, Intel Core i5-9400F, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650, Mixed 2X8GB @2666mhz RAM, ADATA SU630 240GB, TOSHIBA P300 1TB

Thanks Macedon, I didn’t know that I had any sound mods in my game!
I’ll delete the old disused mods completely.
I’ve never had problems with Jazzycat mods before on my old laptop and now I have a decent gaming laptop, so I’m not sure why the Jazzycat mods should be causing this issue.
I’ll certainly take your advice and rearrange the order of my mods, perhaps that will sort it out.

Hi Guys,
Here’s an update on my problems; as suggested, I’ve removed the Jazzycat mods and the outdated ones. Some improvement in the scenery textures is noticeable but, at the same locations the game still experiences huge FPS drops.
Not having AI traffic, I found the game was lacking in it’s immersive gameplay for me. So, I thought I’d try the Promods TCP, it’s quite good, so I guess I’ll go with that for the time being.
I’ve also tweaked the graphics settings, to medium range, it’s also helped. However, I am only able to achieve 24fps at the most.
I’m looking into the possibilities of updating or upgrading my graphics card .

The main bottleneck in your system is your CPU, it is below the minimum requirements for the base game.
CPU0: GenuineIntel [Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU Q 720 @ 1.60GHz] with 4 cores (8 threads) at ~1596MHz.
Upgrading your graphics card won't help much. Your graphics card is above the minimum requirement, almost meeting the recommended requirement.MOOSE 6733 wrote: ↑21 Mar 2021 08:42I’m looking into the possibilities of updating or upgrading my graphics card .

Thanks Josh0,
I’m running my system from an Acer Aspire notebook 8942g.
What would be a suitable replacement to upgrade the CPU with?

You can't replace the CPU on a laptop, you can use a external graphics card if you have thunderbolt, but as Josh0 said, it won't help and would put more strain on the CPU

The minimum CPU requirement for the base game (no mods) is a 2.4GHz dual-core. You have a 1.60GHz quad-core. More cores does not make this game run better since a lot of the computations are single-threaded. The recommended CPU requirement is a 3.0GHz quad-core. I would say anything that exceeds the recommended requirements, and was released within the last 3 years, would be much better than what you currently have (your Core i7-720QM was released in 2009).
The game requirements can be found at the bottom of this page: Euro Truck Simulator 2 | Download.

Hi Guys,
Having taken all of the helpful information on board, I have gone for a proper desktop computer.
Quite clearly my laptop wasn’t up to the job of running ETS2 and Promods.
My truck simulator is now running smoothly
