Map update from 1.39 to 1.40

Hello, I am new to creating maps, How do I update my own map from 1.39 to 1.40? After loading the map, I see a window with "Found 18330 items"
I follow the instructions, click f8 (something is loading), save the map, load it and I still have the message "inavlid item" (I miss a lot of objects on the map, I only use the original scs models)
Can anyone give me an instruction on how to update the map?
