Edit: I changed the compatibility with the 1.40 SCS version in the manifest and the map seems to work very well.

Just extract every .scs file... open the manifest file with "text document" or "notepad"... change 1.39 to 1.40 in the compatibility... repack as a ZIP file (then you write .scs instead of .zip).
Of course, you should do this one by one, not extract all files at the same time.
We'll wait for a new official version, but for the moment it's possible playing with Macedonia after these 4-5 steps.
