Thank you for the explanation.
First of all, I have a legal version of Euro Truck Simulator 2.
I have a legal version of Euro Truck Simulator 2 Go East
Go East not installed the stat, because then Truck Simulator not aceccepteerd the Promod folder.

I understand in order to solve the problems I need my Truck Simulator register with Steam. Please do forgive me, but I am a novice despite my 72 years with Truck Simulator.

That's fine, we are here to help :D

Does Going East DLC has it's own licence-key? 'Cause then Steam will certainly make things a lot easier.

NL:
Heeft Going East DLC zijn eigen licentiecode? Dat zou het zeker een heel stuk makkelijker maken als je het spel registreerd bij Steam.

Some say, I'm addicted to ETS2. But then I say. No, it's ProMods, it's a way of life.

Okay, I've created an account with Steam and some downloaded and installed on my PC.
Yes I have both Trucksim2 as Trucksim Go east each separate product key.
You have given me the link to register. Should I introduce them both?
And then I get to a new Steam Truck Sim 2 and a Go East version?
Should I remove the existing Trucksim?
How is this. This is a Google translate. I hope it is to understand a little bit.

I do understand you.
You should activate them both, the game and the DLC.
It should install automatically.

I should keep the original game for now ;)

Good morning,
Created an account with Steam. A whole operation, but succeeded.
TS2 product key entered and the TS2 was downloaded and installed. Then, the TS2 go East product introduced, but was partially successful. This program was not downloaded but accepted. Later, he appeared not to sit as an option in the game. Have addressed a message. Is a puzzle how it works.
But what I noticed was that the TS2 that Steam downloade exactly was a copy of the existing one. The folders Promods etc. are transferred into the TS2 Steam. Also, the combination did not work. I suspect also that they take the data from my computer. Could it be because I had not installed the Go East Steam this did not install too?

Can you provide us with the game.log of the Steam version of your game?
Would you like to try follow the whole tutorial again?

'm Very happy. Thank you for your help.
Do have a question about online driving. Now I have a Steam account, I would also need to be done online in TS2 edit or Steam just enough

What do you mean by online driving?
Btw, Rusmap should also work with Promods and Poland Rebuilding. :)

Don't pay attention to the comment above. I typed that one while on my mobile, and now I can't delete it anymore :P

This video explains how to get started with multiplayer (in English unfortunately).

If I understand your question correctly: yes, you must be logged into Steam when you start ETS2MP, but it will start the game for you. You do not need to have that running (in fact it won't work if you do).
Word of warning: make a seperate profile for this without mods or hired drivers, as multiplayer forces time in your game to move more slowly than it does offline and that screws up their jobs and the economy.
Also not mentioned in that video: turn off fatige simulation, so you can sleep anytime to regenerate the economy (as you will run out of jobs if you play a longer session).

I feel we could help you more efficiëntly if you posted your questions, in Dutch, in the Dutch subforum.
"You know you've played too much ETS2 when..." :P
