I found a tuning mod for my truck and I would like to use a couple of things from it. However, the person who made the mod chose the carpaint_color.dds file to skin some of them. As you can see in this screenshot of the chassis cover, the truck's skin file is used to paint the cover.
I can create a simple one color image, but that doesn't help unless I can get the game to use it. The .mat file for this is a stock game file associated with the truck skin. How can I create a new .mat file and associate it with a different image?
