Hi there
Nice Iceland
Let me tell you when you build Iceland up
The funny is. That Iceland IS a green Country, AND Greenland is a Ice country
So if you want the right texture for the country, you HAS to make it more Green

That was the north bit, the south bit of Iceland has normal textures.gippermand wrote:Hi there

Again, Iceland is made snowy simply to add more variation in the European landscape. Currently, all of Europe has green grass, from the most northern bit of Scandinavia, to the most southern parts of France and Italy.gippermand wrote:Hi there

A snowy landscape makes the whole map less boring, it adds more variation. And Iceland was a nice location to do that.
The southern part of Iceland is still grass-green. A completely snowy Iceland would make Iceland boring (need some variation in Iceland too), and building a snowy Reykjavík would be a pain, due to the limited amount of snowy models available.

Great work as usual Purno, the snowy landscape looks beautiful!
This isn't something that ProMods can do on their own, but one thing I would love to see SCS make is seasons in the game... maybe replace the day of the week with a calendar date, and in some areas have some of the textures change depending on the season. This would make it possible to have winter landscapes in other areas that regularly get snow, like Norway, Sweden and Finland, and also the Alps. Would be awesome if SCS could do that!
Your rendition of Iceland is the next best thing though.

For now, yes. There aren't any other notable cities in Iceland. Perhaps an additional town along the road, similar to Borgarnes or Húsavík. Will decide that when building these roads.Memphis84 wrote:Hello Purno
Those two cities remaining are the only ones who will be added to the map later? and the edition will be finished i believe
