Nope, you're wrong, samuray.. In Romania they are used to prevent drivers from overtaking. They're usually located near roadworks or on segments of road where lanes were freshly painted.

Oh, now I understood. In Romania they don't always pay attention to that detail (mainly because the ones responsible for placing them don't have that much amount of road safety expertise ).. So, they fit into the standards..

Now though, many things changed. Romanian roads are quite decent and Romanian drivers are a bit more civilized in traffic. The only problem though is the lack of highways.
