ETS2's "Metres above sea level" vs real life = a bit odd.

meerkat, you can drive and play ETS2 without any trouble?
If that is a yes, then you might have missed to do the folder structure "1st post in the thread":

To be able to save your map:
Go in the game file directory : (default: C:\Program Files (x86)\Euro Truck Simulator 2)
Create a folder called « base ». In this folder create another folder called « map ».

Or some other step?

ok shiva i will do that thanks as i want to ddo ukmap as uk gets ingnored by promods and scs softwere as uk have great cities to like leeds./ blackburn./ norwich,. bournemouth,./ brighton,./ and the black country midlands ./

you don't need to extract base.scs at all just create base\map direcotry in ETS 2 game location (not bin main folder) and then rename mods folder to modž (or something else so editor will not load it) and tape edit europe when you start game

i managed to save basic map but cant load it to run to see what its like

Make sure you made a folder called \map\ on desktop
then go to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Euro Truck Simulator 2\base\map\
and copy the europe.mbd and the folder called Europe into the \map\ folder on your desktop.
Then use 7zip to "Add file to archive..." and change the .zip file extension to .scs
Put the new .scs file into your Mods folder and start the game and enable the mod

thank you penuinez big help ./ oone other thing great video but why is the tutorrial video a scania map edit when it says 1.8.2 or does that not make any difference
